Chat with Us

The first step to starting your custom design journey is to chat with one of our experts. During this chat we will  discuss your budget, your ideas, what you don’t want, and any other potential questions you might have about anything related to the process. We want to make the custom design process as easy and transparent as possible for you.

Also during this time we will begin doing some rough design work on what your ring will look like. Using our state of the art 3D modeling system, you can see a render of your ring in real time. This consultation is free, but if you do decide to go forward with the process there is a $250 deposit that goes towards the final price of the ring.

Do I Need An Appointment?

If you’re looking to start building a custom ring, you will need to schedule a consultation appointment with us. We require this just to ensure we will have all the time we will need with no distractions to disrupt the process. Booking an appointment is extremely easy or though contacting us via email or phone.

Your appointment can be scheduled to be within our physical showroom, or as a virtual appointment.

Virtual Appointment

Through Zoom, a Chrysella expert will go through a one on one virtual consultation from the comfort of your own home or office. Through discussion, collaboration, and exchange of ideas we will begin to have a clear understanding of what your design may look like. Once we establish the design of your piece, you will receive a wax model of your ring in the mail. This wax model allows you to physically hold the ring to ensure it is exactly what you have in mind prior to Chrysella crafting the final piece. In some cases, we will even send you the stones you plan on using so you can see them in person along side the wax model.

Price

There is a common misconception that a custom designed ring is by default going to be more expensive than buying a premade ring. This isn’t always true. The price for custom design rings almost always rivals the price of a premade piece. The only difference is it is tailor made for you to the right finger size, right stone size, and to your unique personal taste. Of course some custom designs can be more expensive, but one should not always assume this.

It’s hard to say what the price of your custom piece will be before we know what you have in mind. So the best way to find out, is to book a free consultation with us and begin designing the ring of your dreams.

Do I Need to Know Exactly How I Want My Ring to Look?

Not at all. Don’t be intimidated if you don’t know where to start for a design. It doesn’t matter if you have your ring imagined all the way down to exact dimensions, or if you aren’t even sure what color band you think you might want. We are prepared to work with you no matter where you are in the process.

Can I Show Examples of What I Want?

Reference photos are actually very useful to our design process. Our clients often bring in photos of rings they like, allowing us to discover what they do and don’t like. Often time reference photos of what your significant other might like can be found on their Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram.

While we are not able to exactly recreate entire rings you might come across, we can certainly use them as points of inspiration for your own custom look!

Can You Repurpose My Old Jewelry in the Custom Process?

In some cases we can reuse metals from your old jewelry, however it is not always recommended. Due to metal aging and degradation over time, we have found it difficult to maintain the quality we strive for at Chrysella. If resuing your metals is something you definitely want us to do, we may be able to make an exception just for you.

That being said, we absolutely can repurpose an old diamond or gem of yours into your new custom piece. Let us know during the consultation and we will work with you on how to get this done.

How Long Does It Take?

The process to make your ring could take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the design of your piece. During this time our experts are always accessible, and will be in frequent contact with you to keep you fully updated on the progress of your ring.

If you happen to have a special request or timeline necessary for your piece, let us know and we’re sure we would be able to work something out with you.

What comes next?

Once you’ve found your design you love and are ready to move forward with your ring, Chrysella will take it from there! We will meticulously craft and construct your design to perfection, and before you know it your ring will be in your hands. With frequent contact and updates from our team you will never be left out of the loop.
